How to choose

The FS2-40 and FS4-100 plug straight into any 24 V product and need nothing else. The FS2-150 is modular and more powerful, but it needs a dedicated MPPT controller - the S24-150 on 24 V, or the S70-150 or S70-750 on 70 V - and on the 70 V platform the array can be built up to 750 W.

Remote sites with no mains and no fuel deliveries - highway projects, mining exploration, agriculture, border and security posts, and any installation meant to be left in place for weeks at a time.

How the two battery platforms work

The range runs on two separate battery systems. The 24 V platform covers everything from the smallest pocket-sized tower up to the TL-500 mobile tower and the GD-500 device stand, and shares the D24-100 and D24-500 packs. The 70 V platform is the TL-600 alone, with its own D70-1000 pack. Batteries, chargers, AC drivers and solar controllers are specific to one platform and are not interchangeable, so check which platform a light is on before ordering an accessory for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an MPPT controller?

Only with the FS2-150. The FS2-40 and FS4-100 work with any 24 V platform product on their own. The FS2-150 is modular and needs the matching controller - S24-150 on 24 V, S70-150 or S70-750 on 70 V.

How much solar can I connect?

On the 70 V platform the array can be built up to 750 W. For the 24 V platform, tell us the product and how much daily runtime you want and we will size the panel with you.

Can a light run on solar alone?

It depends on how many hours of light you need each night against the hours of usable sun the site gets. Solar is sized to top the battery up rather than to run the light directly, so give us the duty cycle and we will work it through before you order.
