The Ralli Wolf RG7-30 is the most powerful 180 mm (7-inch) grinder in the range: a 3000 W copper-wound motor at 8500 rpm for the heaviest grinding and cutting. Soft start removes the jolt at switch-on, restart protection stops it starting by itself when power returns after a cut, and the motor is dust-protected for foundry and fabrication floors. A self-locking switch helps on long runs, quick-change carbon brushes speed up servicing, and the spindle is M14. It weighs 7 kg.

Using an angle grinder safely and well

Always fit the wheel guard and the side handle, and use only discs whose marked maximum speed is at least the grinder's no-load speed. Match the disc size and bore to the spindle: 100 mm grinders take 16 mm-bore discs on an M10 spindle, 125 mm and larger grinders take 22.2 mm-bore discs on an M14 spindle. Let the tool reach full speed before it touches the work, keep the disc at a shallow angle for grinding, and wear eye protection, gloves and ear defenders.

Where it is used

  • Cutting steel rods, angles, pipes and sheet
  • Weld dressing and edge smoothing in fabrication
  • Rust and paint removal with wire brushes
  • Cutting tile, marble and stone with diamond blades
  • Polishing and sanding with flap discs and pads

Frequently asked questions

Which should I choose — the RG7-30 or the RG9-30?

Both have 3000 W, soft start, restart protection and a dust-protected motor. The RG7-30 runs 180 mm discs at 8500 rpm; the Ralli Wolf RG9-30 runs 230 mm discs at 6500 rpm for a deeper cut.

Which discs fit the RG7-30?

180 mm discs on its M14 spindle. Use only discs marked for at least 8500 rpm — the grinder's no-load speed — and always fit the wheel guard.

Can the RG7-30 cut tiles and stone?

Yes, with a diamond blade of the right size and bore. For long, straight cuts in tile and stone, a marble cutter such as the Ralli Wolf RW4-SB is easier to guide.
