Polycab Wizzy Neo BLDC Ceiling Fan – 1200 mm, 35 W, 5 star, 5 colours

The Polycab Wizzy Neo BLDC Ceiling Fan is a ceiling fan with a brushless DC (BLDC) motor, which draws much less power than an induction-motor fan at the same air delivery, controlled from a remote. A 35 W BLDC fan in five two-tone finishes with aluminium blades, an RF remote with multi-fan pairing and a reverse mode.

Polycab lists it in 5 variants - 1200 mm, Black Silver, Brown Copper, Matt Blue Silver, Natural Wood and White Rose Gold - at MRP Rs 6,499 - 7,399 per piece (polycab.com, October 2026).

Is this the right one for you?

Check these five things before you order:

• A 1200 mm sweep suits your room - the standard size for a room of about 10 x 12 ft to 12 x 14 ft.
• The ceiling is high enough to keep the blades at least 2.1 m above the floor on the down rod supplied.
• You want the lowest running cost: the BLDC motor draws 35 W at full speed.
• You are happy to control the fan from the remote rather than a wall regulator - the remote also gives the reverse mode.
• The colour you want is one of the 5 listed: Black Silver, Brown Copper, Matt Blue Silver, Natural Wood and White Rose Gold.

How to choose and fit it

Sweep. A 1200 mm fan is the standard for a bedroom or living room of about 10 x 12 ft to 12 x 14 ft; use two fans, or a 1400 mm fan, for a hall; 900 mm suits a small room, kitchen or balcony and 600 mm a cabin or a very small room. This series is 1200 mm.

BLDC or induction. A BLDC fan draws roughly 30 to 50 % less power than an induction fan of the same air delivery (Polycab's 30 to 35 W BLDC fans against the 49 to 55 W of most of its 1-star 1200 mm fans, or 70 to 75 W for an older fan) and runs cooler and quieter, and this series is controlled from a remote; it costs more to buy and pays back on the electricity bill where the fan runs for long hours. Polycab rates this series 5 star under the BEE label.

Air delivery. Compare fans by air delivery (CMM - cubic metres per minute) rather than watts: this series delivers 225 CMM. A higher ceiling or a bigger room wants more CMM.

Fitting. Hang the fan from a hook or J-bolt on a down rod so that the blades are at least 2.1 m above the floor and 0.3 m or more below the ceiling; connect phase and neutral in the canopy (and earth where a lead is provided). The speed is set from the remote - no wall regulator is needed; pair the remote as the leaflet shows. Do not run a remote-controlled BLDC fan through an existing wall regulator: bypass it or leave it at full.

Ordering. Quote the item code from the variant rows above (for example FCBLDCES057M) with the quantity; mixed lots of colours are fine.

Where it is used

• Bedrooms, living rooms and offices where the fan runs all day and the electricity bill matters
• Air-conditioned rooms, where the reverse mode circulates the cool air
• Hostels, hotels, PG rooms and institutions with many fans
• Homes on inverter or solar backup, where the low wattage stretches the battery

How much electricity does a BLDC fan save?

This series draws 35 W at full speed, against 49 to 55 W for most of Polycab's 1-star 1200 mm induction fans and roughly 70 to 75 W for an older fan, so the saving grows with the hours it runs. Polycab prints its own saving claim with a footnote; the actual saving depends on your speed setting and hours of use.

Does it need a wall regulator?

No - the speed (fine steps, per Polycab's description) and the reverse mode are set from the RF remote, which works from anywhere in the room; one remote can be paired with more than one fan.

Which colours are available?

Black Silver, Brown Copper, Matt Blue Silver, Natural Wood and White Rose Gold - each colour has its own item code in the variant rows above.
