Techno TH400 Tee Tube "I" joints connect two cables end to end on screw terminals inside a sealed IP68 body, for conductors of 0.5-4.0 mm² at 32 A. Techno s.r.l., of Guanzate near Como in Italy, designs and makes waterproof electrical connectors - the Tee Tube joints, Tee Plug plug-and-socket connectors and Tee Box junction boxes - for outdoor lighting and installations exposed to water and dust.

Four items by pole count - 3, 4, 5 and 6 poles - each made in two versions: for 8-17 mm cable (tested by Techno to IP68 at 50 m for 1 hour) and for 7-13.5 mm cable. Each has its own page with its codes and price.

How it is installed

1. Slide the gland nuts and seals over the cable ends, then strip the sheath and the conductors.
2. Connect each conductor to its screw terminal, following the contact marking, and tighten the terminal screws to the stated torque.
3. Screw the glands onto the body and tighten the gland nuts to the stated torques, so the seals grip the cable sheaths and the joint is sealed to IP68.
