How to choose and fit

1. Choose the washer for the bolt size and the hole: normal series for standard clearance holes, large series for slotted or oversize holes.
2. Match the hardness to the bolt class: 200 to 300 HV with bolts up to 8.8, 300 to 370 HV with 10.9 and 12.9, and the hardened IS 6649 washer with HSFG sets.
3. Fit the washer under whichever element turns during tightening (usually the nut).
