Why battery, not diesel
- Sustainable - nothing is burned, so there are no exhaust emissions and no carbon at the point of use, and no fuel has to be trucked to site. The lithium iron phosphate packs are rechargeable for hundreds of cycles and can be topped up from a folding solar panel instead of the grid.
- Ultra portable - every unit here is handled by one person. The small ones are a one-hand carry; the big ones fold down, wheel along and load into a standard vehicle. Nothing in the range needs a trailer, a towing vehicle or a crane.
- Noise free - it runs at 0 dB. There is no engine, so it can work overnight beside housing, hospital wards, hotels, station platforms and inside buildings through the night without a noise objection, and people can talk normally next to it.
- No fuel on site, so no fuel fire risk - a diesel set brings a tank, jerricans, spills and a hot exhaust to the work face. This range brings none of that: nothing to store, nothing to spill and nothing to ignite near dry ground, fuel handling or confined spaces. The cells are lithium iron phosphate, the most thermally stable of the common lithium chemistries.
How to choose
Work down four numbers in this order. First the height you need the light at - that sets how wide an area one unit covers. Then the runtime you need between charges, which decides how many battery packs the model carries. Then the weight, because that decides whether one person can carry it to the work face or whether it has to be wheeled. Finally the light output, in lumens. If two models tie on height, the heavier one is almost always the brighter and the longer running of the two.
Where these are used
Construction and earthmoving, mining and quarrying, road and railway maintenance, ports and airports, refineries and petrochemical plants, firefighting and disaster relief, utility and power maintenance, night sports and outdoor events.
How the two battery platforms work
The range runs on two separate battery systems. The 24 V platform covers everything from the smallest pocket-sized tower up to the TL-500 mobile tower and the GD-500 device stand, and shares the D24-100 and D24-500 packs. The 70 V platform is the TL-600 alone, with its own D70-1000 pack. Batteries, chargers, AC drivers and solar controllers are specific to one platform and are not interchangeable, so check which platform a light is on before ordering an accessory for it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which light tower should I buy?
Pick the height first, because that decides how much ground one unit lights. Then check the runtime you need between charges, and last the weight - anything up to about 10 kg is a one-hand carry, and above that it is wheeled. Every product page lists all four figures.
Do these replace a diesel light tower?
For most site work, yes. They give no noise, no exhaust, no refuelling and no engine servicing, and they need no trailer or towing vehicle. The trade-off is runtime: a diesel set runs as long as you keep feeding it, while a battery tower runs for its stated hours and then needs a charge or a pack swap.
Can they be used in the rain?
The TL-500 is rated IP65 and to wind resistance level 8. For the other models, check the weather rating listed on the individual product page before you commit to outdoor use.

What is the difference between the 24 V and the 70 V platform?
