Why choose the Polycab PVC Circular Box - Angle (2 Way)

• Two entries at right angles - the right layout for a point where the run turns through 90 degrees and you also want a junction or light point
• Screw-on round lid - comes off for wiring, jointing and inspection; spare lids are listed separately
• Made to IS 3419 - the Indian standard for fittings for rigid non-metallic conduits
• Sized for 20 and 25 mm conduit - the entries take Polycab conduit of the same outside diameter
• Part of the full Polycab conduit system - pipes to IS 9537 Part 3 and matching boxes, bends, tees, elbows, couplers and saddles

Installation notes

Fix the box first, then cut the conduit to length and push it fully into the entry; in concealed work the joint is usually made permanent with PVC solvent cement.

Set concealed boxes so the lid sits flush with the finished plaster or ceiling - joints must stay accessible, so never plaster over a lid.

Make joints inside the box with proper connectors, keep the earth continuous, and close the lid once the wiring is tested.

Where it is used

• Light points at the corner of a ceiling run
• Corners of rooms and corridors
• Changes of direction in surface conduit runs
• Concealed and surface conduit wiring in homes, offices and shops

Frequently asked questions

Where is the angle (2 way) circular box used?

At a point where the run turns through 90 degrees and you also want a junction or light point - the corner of a room or of a ceiling run. For a straight run use a through box; for the end of a run, a terminal box.

Is there a non-ISI version of this box, and what is the difference?

Yes. This is the ISI version: rigid PVC, made by Polycab to IS 3419 (the Indian standard for fittings for rigid non-metallic conduits), and it can be joined to PVC conduit with PVC solvent cement. Polycab also makes a non-ISI polypropylene (PP) angle (2 way) box with the same entry layout, sizes (20 and 25 mm) and packs; it is not ISI marked and is a push fit, because PVC solvent cement does not bond polypropylene. Choose ISI where the specification, the consultant or the authority asks for ISI-marked fittings; the non-ISI box suits jobs where that is not required. If you wish, we will quote both so you can compare before you decide.

Which sizes and codes are available for the angle (2 way)?

20 mm - CFT0220001; 25 mm - CFT0225001.

How is it packed?

20 mm - 40 per pack, 640 per transport pack; 25 mm - 32 per pack, 448 per transport pack. Tell us the number of pieces or packs you need.
