Polycab PVC Circular Box 'Y' Type (3 Way) – Junction Box for 20 and 25 mm Conduit, IS 3419

Polycab PVC Circular Box - 'Y' Type (3 Way) is a round PVC junction box with three entries in a 'Y' pattern and a lid, for 20 and 25 mm conduit. In the usual 'Y' layout one entry is on one side and two are on the opposite side, so one run splits into two. It is used at a point where one incoming run splits into two outgoing runs on the opposite side. The Polycab catalogue does not show a photo of this box; ask us for a photo or a sample before you order if the exact entry layout matters.

Why choose the Polycab PVC Circular Box - 'Y' Type (3 Way)

• Three entries in a 'Y' pattern - the right layout for a point where one incoming run splits into two outgoing runs on the opposite side
• Removable lid - access for wiring, jointing and inspection
• Made to IS 3419 - the Indian standard for fittings for rigid non-metallic conduits
• Sized for 20 and 25 mm conduit - the entries take Polycab conduit of the same outside diameter
• Part of the full Polycab conduit system - pipes to IS 9537 Part 3 and matching boxes, bends, tees, elbows, couplers and saddles

Installation notes

Fix the box first, then cut the conduit to length and push it fully into the entry; in concealed work the joint is usually made permanent with PVC solvent cement.

Set concealed boxes so the lid sits flush with the finished plaster or ceiling - joints must stay accessible, so never plaster over a lid.

Make joints inside the box with proper connectors, keep the earth continuous, and close the lid once the wiring is tested.
