How to choose and fit it

Poles. Post top lanterns usually sit on decorative poles about 3 to 4 m high along paths, gardens and colony roads; send us the pole height and spacing and we will confirm the wattage and fixing.

Size. Polycab's drawing shows 350 mm across the roof, 299.8 mm across the top of the lamp body and 179.8 mm across its base (±5 mm); no height is given. We confirm the height, spigot and fixing details for your pole with the order.

Colour. 3000 K warm white gives a soft, warm light for gardens, parks, heritage streets and resorts; 6500 K cool white gives a crisp, bright look for public areas, campuses and security-minded spaces.

Fitting. Fit the lantern on the pole top, tighten the fixing screws, connect it inside the pole with a weatherproof joint, connect the lantern's earth lead and earth the pole, and feed the circuit through a 30 mA RCD. It runs on 220 to 240 V AC. Isolate the supply before work; a qualified electrician should install it.
