How to choose and fit it

Wattage. This 2x2 LED panel is 36 W. One 36 W 2x2 panel (about 3,600 lumens) per 45 to 75 sq ft of office floor gives the usual 300 to 500 lux - roughly one panel per 12 to 20 tiles of a 600 mm grid, i.e. every third or fourth tile in each direction; the exact spacing depends on ceiling height and the finish of the room.

Colour. 3000 K warm white gives a relaxed, yellowish light for bedrooms, living rooms and restaurants; 4000 K neutral white is a balanced white for offices and shops; 5700 K cool white is a crisp white, a shade less blue than 6500 K; 6500 K cool white is the brightest-looking, for kitchens, work areas and utility spaces.

Fitting. Lift the ceiling tile, drop the panel into the grid opening, connect the external driver above the ceiling and let the grid carry the panel. For plaster ceilings a recess frame or surface frame is used; confirm the frame with your ceiling contractor.
