How to choose and fit it

Wattage. Polycab lists this LED panel light in 3, 6, 12, 15 or 18 W. As a rule of thumb one 12 W to 15 W panel lights about 35 to 50 sq ft of a normal-height room to home brightness (roughly 150 lux); space them closer for task areas and higher ceilings, and use more panels rather than one very bright one for even light.

Colour. 3000 K warm white gives a relaxed, yellowish light for bedrooms, living rooms and restaurants; 4000 K neutral white is a balanced white for offices and shops; 6500 K cool white is the brightest-looking, for kitchens, work areas and utility spaces.

Fitting. Mark the cut-out on the false ceiling from the row for your size, cut it, connect phase and neutral to the panel leads (the driver is built in) and fix the panel in as it provides (usually spring clips). Leave the ceiling void clear around the panel so it can shed heat.
