The Polycab Rubber and High-Temperature Cable range covers flexible tinned copper cables with EPR or silicone rubber insulation and tough CPE, PCP or CSP sheaths, or silicone rubber sheaths for hot zones - up to 1100 V, and in heavy-duty reinforced versions up to 33 kV. Polycab's catalogue lists the 1100 V cables as conforming to IS 9968 (Part 1) and the 3.3 to 33 kV cables as generally conforming to IS 9968 (Part 2). It is supplied at a price on request: cable prices depend on the construction, the quantity and the raw-material prices on the day.
Polycab India Limited is India's largest manufacturer of wires and cables, with 27 manufacturing facilities, a network of 4,300+ dealers and distributors, 2,00,000+ retailers and an export presence in 84 countries (polycab.com, October 2026). Its cable range runs from house wires and 1.1 kV power and control cables to MV and EHV power cables, with instrumentation, solar, railway, marine, mining, fire-survival and other special cables. Jai Enterprises supplies Polycab cables from Bhilai and Raipur all over Chhattisgarh - Bhilai, Raipur, Durg, Korba, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Jagdalpur, Kanker, Ambikapur and every other district - and across India.
Is this the right one for you?
Check these four things before you order:
- The cable must flex or move, or run in a hot zone where PVC would not last.
- You know the voltage: up to 1100 V (IS 9968-1) or 3.3 to 33 kV (IS 9968-2).
- You know the temperature at the cable - silicone rubber insulation and sheath for the hottest zones.
- You know the cores and size, and the sheath your duty needs (oil, abrasion, weather).

Why choose the Polycab Rubber and High-Temperature Cable
- Flexible tinned copper conductors for moving and flexing duty
- EPR or silicone rubber insulation - silicone insulation and sheath for hot zones
- Tough CPE, PCP (polychloroprene) or CSP sheaths against oil, abrasion and weather
- Heavy-duty reinforced versions up to 33 kV
- Made to IS 9968 (Part 1); 3.3 to 33 kV versions generally to IS 9968 (Part 2)
How to choose and specify it
Temperature. IS 9968 (Part 1) recognises general-purpose (60 °C), heat-resisting (90 °C) and silicone rubber (150 °C) insulation types. For furnace areas, ovens and other hot zones choose silicone rubber insulation with a silicone rubber sheath - with a CPE, PCP or CSP sheath, the sheath sets the temperature limit. Confirm the rating on the Polycab datasheet.
Sheath. PCP (polychloroprene), CSP (chlorosulphonated polyethylene) and CPE (chlorinated polyethylene) are tough elastomers that resist oil, weather and abrasion - the usual choice for trailing and mobile equipment.
Voltage. IS 9968 (Part 1) covers flexible cables up to 1100 V; IS 9968 (Part 2) covers 3.3 kV to 33 kV. Polycab's 3.3 to 33 kV version has a reinforced, heavy-duty sheath for mobile equipment; tell us the screening and earth-core arrangement you need.
Where it is used

Frequently asked questions
What is the price of the Polycab Rubber and High-Temperature Cable?
The Polycab Rubber and High-Temperature Cable is supplied at a price on request, because cable prices depend on the construction, the quantity and the raw-material prices on the day. Call +91 9340081159 for a quotation.
Is this the high-temperature cable or the rubber cable?
Both - the catalogue prints the same description under both headings. The silicone rubber insulated and sheathed version is the high-temperature choice; EPR versions are for general flexible duty.
What temperature can silicone rubber take?
IS 9968 (Part 1) lists a silicone rubber insulation type rated 150 °C, against 60 °C for general-purpose and 90 °C for heat-resisting rubber. We confirm the rating for your cable on the Polycab datasheet.
What are CPE, PCP and CSP?
Chlorinated polyethylene, polychloroprene (neoprene) and chlorosulphonated polyethylene - tough rubber sheaths that resist oil, abrasion and weather.
Where can I buy the Polycab Rubber and High-Temperature Cable in Chhattisgarh?
From Jai Enterprises, Bhilai and Raipur, which supplies Polycab cables to every district of Chhattisgarh and across India. Call +91 9340081159 for the price, stock and lead time.
