HEXPRESS hydraulic crimping tools make compression joints on copper and aluminium cable lugs and connectors from 10 to 1000 sq mm - the sizes where a mechanical hand tool no longer delivers enough force. The range has three kinds of tool. HEXPRESS-06, -07 and -400 have the pump built into the handles; HYF-400 is worked by a foot pump; HY-400 and HY-1000 have a separate crimping head on a hydraulic hose from a hand pump. Each tool has its own page; prices are on request.

How to choose

Start with the largest lug you crimp: HEXPRESS-06 or -07 for up to 300 sq mm, HEXPRESS-400, HYF-400 or HY-400 for up to 400 sq mm, HY-1000 for up to 1000 sq mm. Then choose how it is worked: an integral hand pump for a self-contained tool, a foot pump when both hands must stay on the cable, or a hose-connected head when the crimp is made in a trench, duct or panel the tool cannot otherwise reach.
