How it is used

1. Fit the die pair for the lug size in the crimping head.
2. Strip the conductor, insert it fully into the lug barrel and place the barrel between the dies.
3. Pump the hand pump; the head is on a hydraulic hose, so it can sit in a trench, duct or panel while the pump stays outside.
4. Pump until the dies have closed completely, then open the release valve, retract the ram and remove the lug.
5. Inspect the crimp, then clean and store the tool with the dies.
