Corrosion-inhibiting compound for aluminium-to-aluminium and aluminium-to-copper joints, 50 g tube. HEX HSC-100 is applied to the aluminium conductor and the barrel of the lug or connector before crimping. Aluminium forms an oxide skin as soon as it is cleaned, and an aluminium-to-copper joint sets up a galvanic couple; the compound keeps air and moisture away from the contact faces so the joint stays low in resistance. How it is used

1. Strip the aluminium conductor and brush the strands clean.
2. Apply the compound to the strands and inside the lug barrel straight away, before the oxide re-forms.
3. Insert the conductor and crimp with the HEXPRESS tool and die for the lug size.
4. Wipe off the surplus around the barrel mouth.
