Raytech Magic Rubber is a two-component liquid insulating rubber. Mixed 1:1 and poured, it is fluid enough to flow round conductors and parts, and within minutes it turns into a flexible, elastic rubber with very high dielectric, thermal and mechanical properties. Raytech is an Italian manufacturer that specialises in gel-based insulation for electrical connections: pre-filled gel boxes and joints that are ready to use straight from the pack, and insulating gels and rubbers for filling joints, boxes and enclosures.
It is rated for installations up to 1 kV, stays re-enterable, gives low smoke, toxic and corrosive gas emissions and is also ideal for casts and moulds. Two pack sizes, each with its own page and price.

Why choose Magic Rubber
- Fluid when poured - extremely conformable, fills around conductors and parts
- Rubber in minutes - flexible and elastic, with very high dielectric, thermal and mechanical properties
- Re-enterable
- Low smoke, toxic and corrosive gas emissions
- For casts and moulds too
- No shelf life
How to use it
- Mix the two components in a 1:1 ratio, for no more than 30 seconds.
- Pour the mix into the casing to be filled.
- Within a few minutes it turns into rubber; cross-linking takes 15 minutes at 23 °C.
Where it is used
- Filling joint shells and boxes where a rubber rather than a gel is wanted
- Insulating connections on installations up to 1 kV
- Casting and moulding insulating parts on site
- Encapsulating components that need a tough, elastic cover
