RS485. RS-485 is the serial link used by Modbus RTU and many meters and drives. The standard recommends a twisted-pair cable of about 120 ohm characteristic impedance, terminated at both ends; tell us the pair count.

LIYY and LIYCY. These German type names describe flexible PVC cables: Li = fine-stranded conductor, Y = PVC (insulation or sheath) and C = copper-braid screen. LIYY is unscreened; LIYCY is screened for noisy areas.
