How to choose and fit it

Wattage. Polycab lists this integral LED downlight in 7, 12 or 15 W. 7 W suits passages, niches and cove accents; 15 W works as general downlighting at about one fitting per 25 to 35 sq ft for home brightness.

Colour. 3000 K warm white gives a relaxed, yellowish light for bedrooms, living rooms and restaurants; 4000 K neutral white is a balanced white for offices and shops; 6500 K cool white is the brightest-looking, for kitchens, work areas and utility spaces. The coloured versions are for decorative, cove and festive use. Note that 4000 K neutral white, blue, green and red are listed at 7 W only.

Fitting. Cut the ceiling to the cut-out size, connect phase and neutral to the leads, fold the spring clips and push the fitting in. Choose the cut-out size before the ceiling is finished; the ring covers a slightly larger hole.
