Raytech Bob 3 and Bob 4 (LittleJoint X) - IP68/IP69K Gel-Filled Multi-Branch Joints for Lighting

Raytech Bob 3 and Bob 4 - the LittleJoint X family - are gel-filled multi-branch joints for parallel lighting circuits. One supply cable comes in and two or three branches go out to light fittings or spotlights, all sealed to IP68 and IP69K in a compact, re-enterable shell. Raytech is an Italian manufacturer that specialises in gel-based insulation for electrical connections: pre-filled gel boxes and joints that are ready to use straight from the pack, and insulating gels and rubbers for filling joints, boxes and enclosures.

Both take 3 x 4 or 3 x 2.5 mm² cable with an outside diameter of 8-13 mm. Each has its own page and price.

Bob 3 or Bob 4?

Bob 3 splits one cable into two branches (3 x 4 or 3 x 2.5 mm²). Bob 4 splits one cable into two branches of 3 x 4 mm² or three branches of 3 x 2.5 mm² - for example a parallel 5-lamp system.

How it is installed

1. Prepare the incoming cable and the branch cables, and slide the glands and seals onto each.
2. Connect the conductors in the supplied 3 x 4 mm² connector (or a screw terminal strip for four-core RGB circuits) and lay it in the gel-filled shell.
3. Close the shell and tighten the glands on every entry.
