Raytech Ready Box and Baby Box are complete junction boxes that arrive pre-filled with gel, with an integrated terminal block and cable glands. Bring the cables in, connect them, snap the lid shut and the connection is sealed to IP68 and IP69K - there is nothing to pour, mix or cast. Raytech is an Italian manufacturer that specialises in gel-based insulation for electrical connections: pre-filled gel boxes and joints that are ready to use straight from the pack, and insulating gels and rubbers for filling joints, boxes and enclosures.

Baby Box and Ready Box 90 have 3 entries and a 3 x 6 mm² terminal block; Ready Box 120 has 4 entries and a 5 x 6 mm² block. The glands take cable diameters of 8-18 mm, and the pre-threaded entries also accept conduit. Each model has its own page and price.

Ready Box or Baby Box?

Take Baby Box or Ready Box 90 for a 3-way junction of 3-core cables - Baby Box is the compact one (90 x 80 x 47 mm, conduit 16 or 20 mm), Ready Box 90 measures 90 x 90 x 45 mm and also accepts 32 mm conduit. Take Ready Box 120 for a 4-way junction or for 5-conductor (three-phase) circuits: it has 4 entries and a 5 x 6 mm² terminal block.

How it is installed

1. Fix the base to a wall or ceiling, or leave it free on the cables. Fit the cable glands - with the adapter for 8-13 mm or 13-18 mm cable diameter - or bring conduit into the pre-threaded entries.
2. Connect the conductors to the integrated 6 mm² terminal block, or use extra-flat lever connectors or screw terminals if you prefer.
3. Snap the lid shut: the gel in the base and lid closes round the conductors and terminals. To modify the circuit later, open the box, change the connection and close it again.
