How to choose and fit it

Layout. Space the fittings evenly over the canopy so the dispensers, vehicles and payment points are lit without dark patches; send us the canopy size and height and we will propose the number of fittings.

Square or linear. Polycab also makes an 80 W, 2.4 m linear canopy light (6500 K) for the same canopies - choose by the canopy layout.

Size. Polycab's drawing shows it as 382 x 382 mm and 110 mm high, with a 310 mm stepped body (±5 mm) - we confirm the mounting method and any canopy-panel cut-out before you order.

Hazardous zones. It is not a flameproof (Ex) fitting: mount it at canopy height outside the hazardous zones shown on the outlet's approved layout. Inside a zone, use a flameproof fitting whose certificate and PESO approval cover that zone and petrol vapour (gas group IIA, IIB or IIC, and temperature class T3 or better) - for example the Polycab LED Flameproof Flood Light, subject to its certificate. The certificate must also cover the canopy's ambient temperature: an Ex fitting is rated for -20 to +40 °C unless its marking states a different range, so check that the marked range reaches at least 50 °C.

Fitting. Fix it to the canopy ceiling with the mounting accessories supplied and connect it through the 3-way connector. It runs on 220 to 240 V AC. Isolate the supply before work; a qualified electrician should install and earth the fitting.
