How to choose and fit it

Wattage. 20 W suits stores, stairways, parking bays and walkways; 40 W suits larger work areas, platforms and sheds. Send us the area for a layout.

Fitting. Fix the batten to the wall, ceiling or structure near the supply point and connect it with the cable entry sealed. It runs on 220 to 240 V AC. Isolate the supply before work; a qualified electrician should install it and connect the earth where the fitting has an earth terminal.

Size. Polycab's drawing shows it as 1224 mm long and about 75 x 75 mm in section (±5 mm); one drawing is shown for both wattages.

Where it fits. Use it where an ordinary batten would suffer from washing, rain, dust or corrosion - wash areas, car parks, platforms and process sheds. It is not meant for high-pressure hot wash-down or strong solvent or alkaline cleaners - ask us about those.
