How to choose and fit it

Layout. In a 2 ft x 2 ft grid ceiling, roughly one 36 W troffer for every 12 to 16 tiles (a 3 x 4 to 4 x 4 tile grid) gives about 300 to 450 lux in a typical office; a room with fine work or a higher ceiling needs closer spacing. We confirm the number with a lighting calculation - send us the room size and ceiling height.

Colour. 4000 K neutral white is a balanced white for offices, meeting rooms and banks; 6500 K cool white looks the brightest and suits open-plan work areas and service areas where a crisp light is wanted.

Size. Polycab's drawing shows it as about 595 x 595 mm (±5 mm); we confirm the exact size and the cut-out with the order.

Fitting. In a grid ceiling, lift a tile out, connect the supply, lay the troffer into the grid in its place and secure it to the tees as the ceiling installer specifies. In a PoP ceiling, cut the opening to Polycab's cut-out size (we confirm it with the order) and fix the troffer with a suitable PoP frame or clips. It runs on 220 to 240 V AC. Isolate the supply before work; a qualified electrician should install and earth the fitting.
