Dinnteco dinfil Ground Surge Filter (DNNFT) – Earthing System Surge Protection
Cuts high-frequency surges that travel in through the earthing system before they reach your panel.

The Dinnteco dinfil (ground filter model DNNFT) is a filter fitted in the earthing conductor that acts as a barrier against high-frequency surges induced through the grounding system — the path a nearby lightning strike often uses to reach an installation. It protects the electrical panel and the stability of the whole installation. Made by Dinnteco (Spain), which has more than 20 years of experience, over 10,000 units installed and a presence in more than 40 countries.
At a glance
- Model: Dinnteco dinfil, ground filter model DNNFT
- Type: Ground (earthing) surge filter
- Material: copper / stainless steel / ferrite / POM / dielectric insulator
- Weight: 5.00 kg
- Warranty: 5 years (manufacturer)
- Works with: your existing SPD — it complements it, not replaces it
Why choose it
- Blocks the back door — surges induced through the earth that SPDs alone are not designed for.
- Reduces the speed and energy of the surge and dissipates electromagnetic interference.
- Extends equipment life of panels, drives, PLCs and electronics.
- Easy to add to new or existing installations without affecting normal operation.
- Certified product (ES140751), CE marked, 5-year warranty.

- Warranty: 5 years
- Certifications: CE marked; certified product ES140751 (dinfil, dinland and dinco); made under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
How dinfil works
dinfil combines copper, stainless steel, ferrite and special dielectric insulators. When a high incoming load is induced in the earthing conductor, the filter absorbs part of the energy and electrical charge of the overvoltage, slows the rise of the current and dissipates the interference associated with the electromagnetic field — so a much lower load leaves the other side.
In a standard installation it sits in the grounding wire between the earth connection and the electrical panel, working together with the panel's surge protection device (SPD).
Where it is used
- Electrical panels in buildings with lightning protection
- Data centres, server and telecom rooms
- Industrial control panels, PLC and drive rooms
- Hospitals and laboratories with sensitive equipment
- Any installation completed with a DDCE device
dinfil and a surge protection device (SPD)
- An SPD diverts surges arriving on the power lines; dinfil reduces surges arriving through the earthing.
- dinfil complements the SPD — it lowers the load the SPD and panel see; it does not replace code-required SPDs.
Proven in the field
- Bielsa–Aragnouet road tunnel, Pyrenees — faults caused by storm surges feeding back through the earthing system kept recurring even after years of upgrades. After Dinnteco protected the tunnel's installations against ground-induced surges (work began March 2021), the technical director confirmed in September 2021 that there had been no electrical fault for the first time in six years. (Dinnteco published case study.)

Frequently asked questions
Does dinfil replace an SPD?
No. It complements the SPD by reducing surges that come in through the earthing system, so the SPD and the panel see less.
Where is dinfil installed?
In the grounding wire, between the earth connection and the electrical panel.
Does it affect normal operation of the installation?
No — Dinnteco designed it to integrate into new or existing installations without affecting normal operation.
What is the difference between dinfil and dinfil mini?
Same materials and technology; dinfil weighs 5 kg for all land structures, dinfil mini weighs 3 kg for residential and specific applications.
What warranty does it carry?
5 years from Dinnteco.
