How to choose and fit it

Wattage and spacing. In a room about 2.7 to 3 m high, 6 W suits passages, corridors and stores; 12 W spaced about 1.2 m apart, or 15 W spaced about 1.2 to 1.5 m apart, suits offices, cabins and meeting rooms; 18 W spaced about 1.5 m apart, or 24 W spaced about 1.5 to 1.8 m apart, suits larger rooms and lobbies - roughly 300 to 500 lux at desk height. The room size sets how many downlights you need; send us the room size and we will confirm it with a layout.

Colour. 6500 K cool white looks the brightest and suits open-plan work areas and service areas where a crisp light is wanted. For offices, meeting rooms and banks, the 4000 K neutral white version (to order) is the balanced choice; 3000 K warm white is also available to order.

Fitting. Fix the downlight directly to the open ceiling and take the supply into it - it needs no cut-out. Polycab prints a figure for each model under "cut-out" in its table (100 to 200 mm); for a surface fitting, treat it as the nominal size and confirm the exact dimensions with us before planning. It runs on 220 to 240 V AC. Isolate the supply before work; a qualified electrician should install it and connect the earth where the fitting has an earth terminal.
