How to choose and fit it

Voltage. Inspection pits are wet, confined work areas. All three versions run at extra-low voltage (up to 50 V AC / 120 V DC); feed them from a SELV supply (a safety isolating transformer, or an isolated DC source), and check whether your site's rules call for a lower voltage such as 24 V DC. The 110 V DC version suits depots with a 110 V DC supply, provided that circuit is SELV - isolated from the mains and other circuits and not earthed; if it is not, tell us and we will advise. Tell us the supply available in the pit and we will confirm the matching version. Extra-low voltage lowers the shock risk but does not make the fitting flameproof: if the pit is classified as a hazardous area, ask us for a certified alternative.

Layout. Mount the fittings along both pit walls, staggered, so the three-way beam lights the vehicle underside without shadows from the person working.

Fitting. Fix it to the pit wall through the fixing holes in its end flanges (we confirm the mounting kit with the order) and run the supply in a protected conduit. Isolate the supply before work; a qualified electrician should install it.
