HEX two-hole copper cable lugs are crimping-type tubular terminal ends with two fixing holes, so the lug cannot rotate on the busbar or terminal and the joint stays tight under vibration and thermal cycling. The standard range (HT 2ER) runs from 16 sq mm (#6 AWG) to 500 sq mm (1000 MCM) and is UL listed; the extended-palm range (HT 2E) runs from 16 to 1000 sq mm. Both use a 44.5 mm hole spacing. Made by HEX, the brand of Brass Copper & Alloy (I) Ltd., Mumbai — an ISO 9001 company whose products are tested by CPRI (India), UL (USA), KEMA (Netherlands) and SIRIM (Malaysia).

Why a two-hole lug
- No rotation — two bolts lock the lug in position.
- Industry-standard 44.5 mm spacing for NEMA-type two-hole pads.
- UL listed standard range, with AWG and MCM sizes for imported equipment.
- Extended palm gives extra reach from barrel to bolt holes; also available with blank palm or with inspection hole.

Which HEX copper lug do I need?
- Standard UL-listed tubular lugs — the general-purpose copper lug, 1.5–1000 mm², with inspection hole.
- Economy range — the same job for 35–1000 mm² where a lighter lug is acceptable.
- Bell mouth — flared entry for fast insertion of flexible or fine-stranded conductors.
- Without inspection hole — sealed barrel for damp or outdoor locations.
- Long barrel, 2-hole (this page) or 4-hole — longer crimp or anti-rotation palm for heavy terminations.
- 33 kV terminals — for HV cable terminations.

Frequently asked questions
What is the hole spacing on HEX two-hole lugs?
44.5 mm between hole centres, on both the standard and extended-palm ranges.
Are they UL listed?
The standard HT 2ER two-hole range (16–500 sq mm) is UL listed.
What is an extended-palm lug?
A lug whose palm is extended beyond the barrel, giving more distance between the crimp and the bolt holes; HEX makes it from 16 to 1000 sq mm.
Do you have AWG sizes?
Yes — the HT 2ER range is listed with AWG and MCM equivalents from #6 AWG to 1000 MCM.
How should the lug be crimped?
Use a crimping tool and die matched to the cable size, and crimp from the palm end towards the barrel end.
